Superb pair with a major pre-printing diagonal paper fold splitting the design by more than 1 mm, which is most striking on the "CA" of "CANADA" on the upper stamp, the middle horizontal perforation row (staircase effect) and "SLI" of "SLIPPER" on the lower stamp!
It occurred because a small portion of the paper used for the sheet was folded in half before the printing process. The fold was subsequently unfolded, which is what caused this odd doubled appearance. A very scarce type of error that is highly sought-after by advanced collectors and worth a significative premium on the market!
