Superb dedication cover commemorating the opening of the Blue Water Bridge, which crosses Port Huron, Michigan, to Sarnia, Ontario. It is described as the International Blue Water Bridge! Franked with #156, the 12¢ Quebec Bridge from the "Banderole" issue. Sent by registered mail on October 8, 1938, you'll notice a beautiful rectangular cancellation of the Blue Water Bridge on the right.
As a reference, FDCs of the #156 are evaluated at $1,250 in the catalogue and while it is a late usage in this case, it is a stamp that is scarcely found on cover nowadays (conservatively valued at 10% of the FDC price)!

Description
This stamp represents a view of Quebec's cantilevered bridge engraved from a photograph. One of the major engineering achievements of this type, it extends over the St. Lawrence River near Quebec City. After seven years of construction, it was completed in 1918. It is over one kilometer long and has a main span of 1,800 feet. This design was chosen to focus on engineering and transportation achievements.
