Very scarce June reprint of the 61¢ Timber Wolf definitive from 1990 with perforations of 13.1 x 13.1! The original January 12th issue (#1175) has perforations of 14.4 x 13.8. This stamp is required by most albums, it is therefore sought after by many collectors who seek to complete their "Mammal Definitives" collection!

All the sheets from the reprint were also issued blanks (without inscriptions), therefore no plate blocks with inscriptions exist for this variety. Nevertheless, the blank corner blocks have become scarce philatelic items throughout the years and we are aware of some recent instances where these blocks were sold above their catalogue value on the market!

This block has a small ink stain on the back of the lower left stamp.
