Description
The ownership of this group of islands in the Aegean Sea has long been a source of dispute between various nations, changing hands often. Under Italian occupation a series of Italian stamps (from 1912-1945) were issued with EGEO overprinted on them. Afterwards, stamps were printed for individual islands with the name of that particular island. Now Aegean Islands use Greek postage.
