The United Arab Emirates is a group of seven states (or emirates) in the Middle East. Beginning in 1973, the UAE issues its own stamps. The United Arab Emirates is probably most known for its oil production. In fact, it is one of the richest areas of the world. Before the discovery of oil, the area was dependent upon pearl fishing.
