Egypt is a country located in North Africa. Its neighbours are Israel, Libya and it borders the Mediterranean and Red Sea. Of all the nations in the Middle East, Egypt is the most populated and one of the most developed economies. It is famous for its pyramids, pharaohs and archaeological finds which have revealed the wealth and power of its ancient civilization. The first Egyptian stamps was issued in 1866.
