This is a land-locked country surrounded by the Republic of South Africa. Formerly known as Basutoland, it is now known as the Kingdom of Lesotho and part of the Commonwealth of Nations. Its major industries are diamonds and water. Basutoland used Cape of Good Hope stamps from 1880-1933, and then its own stamps from 1933-1966. In 1966, the country was renamed Lesotho.
