The Little History of Arpin Philately
Arpin Philately began as a family venture. In 1959, Gaston Arpin sold his construction business to join his son Louis in his numismatic ventures. Louis had been interested in collecting coins since the age of 13, and in 1958 had fulfilled a childhood dream of starting his own business, dealing in numismatic products. The company expanded even more in the late 60’s when the decision was made to become a full-time stamp dealer. Louis’ wife later joined the company, and in 1983, so did their son Daniel. Over the past decades, the company has continued to innovate, and now serves thousands of stamp collectors through their unique shop at home stamp on approval service. The company now counts eight full-time employees with over 100 years of combined experience in the field, each adding something special to the company.

Hi. I have [3] 832a pane of 12 provincial & territorial flags. None of them have the same corner inscription as illustrated in the Unitrade 2006 edition. It shows inscriptions on 2 sides of the 4 different versions shown. Mine have inscriptions on one side only. Anything to this?

This situation about corner inscriptions is common. The ones illustrated in the Unitrade Catalogue we’re issued by the philatelic counter of Canada post for collectors and the ones with only one inscription we’re regular issues sold in post offices.
Could you tell me what “water activated issues” are? Thanks
Water activated issues is the name given to stamps using traditional gums that are water soluble, as opposed to the self-adhesive stamps that has become widespread in recent years.
Please advise if the Harris Canada album is for stamps from both Canada and its provinces or is it just for the provinces?

It contains spaces for both Canada and its provinces, complete back of book issues and even spaces for booklets and souvenir sheets.
